Obituary for Samuel found in Connellsville, PA Courier dated February 8, 1901 THE GRIM REAPER gathers a Sad Harvest of Humanity During the Past Week At his home in Saltlick Township on Tuesday, February 5, 1901 Samuel K. Eicher aged 84 years 10 months. The Infirmitier of old age caused death. Deceased was a life long resident of Saltlick and a respected citizen of the community in which he lived. His circle of friends was a wide one, and his knowledge of the events of the township and surrounding country during the last half century made him a an authority. His wife died several years ago after raising to manhood and womanhood a large family, namey;, Abramham D. ,and John D. both of Springfield township; Jacob of Keffer, Westmoreland Co. William of Scottdale, Mrs Susan Means, Scottdale, Mrs Margaret Swink of Connellsville, Mrs. Rachel Christner of Wooddale and Mrs. Albright at home. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock this morning, Rev. McCauley conducting the services. Intermant will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
