JOHN SAMUEL ANGLE, M. D.

  John S. Angle was born near Welsh Run and received his education at Marshall 
College, Mercersburg, Pa., He then studied medicine and received his degree M. 
D. from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa.  After graduation Dr. Angle 
began the practice of medicine at Welsh Run.  About three years later he removed 
to Sunbury, Pa., and was in practice there until 1871, when he returned to Welsh 
Run.  In 1873 he located at Stafford, Penna., where he remained in practice 
until his death about twenty years later.
