D. John M. Cramer was born November 11, 1848, in Fannett Township and grew to manhood in the vicinity of Pleasant Hall, Pa. He was a son of John Cramer. His mother's family name was Shearer. Dr. Cramer was a graduate physician and went from Orrstown to Renova, where he was in practice until his death October 10, 1870. His wife was Sarah Kendig, a daughter of Jacob Kendig of Orrstown. Dr. Cramer was buried in Pleasant Hall Cemetery.
