MAYER, M. D. Dr. Mayer was born in 1878 at Mount Carmel, Pa. He received his medical education at the Baltimore Medical College, received his degree M. D. in 1902 from this institution. Dr. Mayer was for a number of years located at Cumberland, Md., as surgeon for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. He was compelled to retire because of ill health and lived in Chambersburg. In 1924 Dr. Mayer was appointed Superintendent of the Chambersburg Hospital and now holds this position (1925). In the spring of 1926 Dr. Mayer disposed of all his property in Chambersburg and removed to Florida, where he now resides (1928). Dr. Mayer was for a time a member of the Medical Society. Dr. Mayer married Irene Lininger, a daughter of Samuel Lininger of Chambersburg.
