Shockey, 58, of Rt. 3, died Friday at the Waynesboro Hospital. born in Waynesboro, he was a son of John I. and Nettie A. Keckler Shockey. He attended the University of Maryland and during World War II, he served with the US Army Air Corp. He had been employed at the Landis Tool Co., and at Letterkenny Depot since 1951, and for the past 10 years was machinist general foreman in the Recall Branch of the Depot. He was a member of the Wayne Heights Brethren Church; American Legion; B.P.O. Elks; and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Delorous Jones Shockey. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. Henry Bates will officiate; burial in Green Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
