CISNEY Mr. Charles W. Cisney died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harvey Wiser near Blairs Mills at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 1944, after an illness of more than three years. He was born in Tell Township, Huntingdon County January 2, 1865, the son of Washington and Sadie (Yocum) Cisney. Mr. Cisney was of the Methodist faith and followed the occupations of farming and saw milling and had been a resident of Huntingdon County his entire life. In early life, he married Mary Silverthorn, who preceded him in death some fifty years ago. To this union were born four children: John, who also preceded him in death; Beulah, Mrs. Harvey Wiser of Blairs Mills; H. B. Cisney of Port Royal, and Sadie, Mrs. Charles Swan of Alexandria. He later married Nannie Flood, who survives with the following children: Hester, Mrs. Paul Hampton of Decorum; James Cisney, Brady Cisney and Clyde Cisney, all of Blairs Mills; Grace, Mrs. Hunter Fraker of Burnt Cabins; Chalmers Cisney of Orbisonia; Alfaretta, Mrs. W. J. Walters of Shade Gap, and Foster Cisney of McConnellsburg. Funeral services were held at the Nossville Methodist church Tuesday, July 18 at10:30, with Rev. W. D. Keemer and Rev. G. P. Deihl officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. clipping Additional Comments: Minister's last name was actually Dial.
