James DUNCAN, of this vicinity, a soldier of the Revolution, departed this life on Wednesday morning last, aged about 75. His remains were attended to the place of sepulture on Thursday, by the Huntingdon Volunteers, and interred with the honors of war. We regret that our slight knowledge of the history of the worthy veteran renders us unable to pay a proper tribute to his memory. We learn however, that during his apprenticeship, whilst (unreadable) age of about 18 or 19, he enlisted, with the (unreadable) of his master, into the regular army and served under the immediate command of GENERAL WASHINGTON, during the greater part of the revolutionary struggle. He participated in the battles of Trenton, Princeton, Germantown, and (unreadable) in the last of which he received a wound, the effects of which were visible till his death. Mr. Duncan bore a character of an (unreadable) man and exemplary Christian.
