Huntingdon Monitor August 1931
John Robert Edwards of 1118 Warm Springs Avenue died at his home on Monday 
afternoon after a prolonged illness. He was aged 60 years, 1 month and 23 days. 
Mr. Edwards was born in Hopewell Township, and was married to Katie Whetstine, 
of Petersburg, in 1898. For the past eleven years the Edwards family have been 
residents of Huntingdon. Mr. Edwards was employed by the J.C. Blair Company. He 
was a member of the Abbey Reformed Church and belonged to the P.O.S. of A. Camp, 
Alexandria. 
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Margaret, wife of James 
W. Hartman, Mrs. Paul H. Peightal and Ernest Edwards all of Huntingdon and Mrs. 
A.M. Hamilton of Smithfield. 
The funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 0'clock from his 
late home, conducted by Rev. H.D. McKeehan and Rev. A.C. Van Saun. Interment 
will take place in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg.
