Foster, died at the Blair Memorial hospital at 5:40 Friday morning [May 3], after an illness for the past six weeks. On April 30th she was taken to the hospital and on May 2nd was operated on for cancer, of which she died. At the time of her death she was aged forty-three years, four months and sixteen days. Mrs. Foster was born at Petersburg and has lived most of her life in Huntingdon county. For the past twenty-seven years she had been a resident of Huntingdon. She joined the Methodist church at the age of fifteen years and at the time of her death was a member of the First M. E. church of this place. She was highly respected by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Cloyd F. Foster and her daughter Miss Bertha Maud Foster, both at home; also by her aged mother, Mrs. Hannah Long; her sister, Miss Fannie Long, at home; another sister, Mrs. Emma J. Smith; and her brother George A Long, both of Roanoke, Virginia. The funeral was held this Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the home on the corner of Fourth and Moore, conducted by Rev. J. S Souser. Interment in Riverview cemetery.
