ELLEN GARNER Died at her home in Penn twp., Aug.6, at the age of seventy years, ten months and twelve days. Her maiden name was McCall. She married Philip Garner who enlisted in the Civil war and gave his life for his country at the battle of Antietam. She is survived by one son, Irvin, her daughter Annie, (Mrs. S. Bush) having died several years ago. It was her son who was with the Peightal family the time of that terrible murder in the early seventies. She was a most devoted Christian woman of whom none could say harm. Her neighbors who knew her are the better for knowing her.
