Arthur Garver of Hill Valley. The deceased was aged 7 years, 4 month and 4 days. The bereaved parents and other friends have the sympathy of the entire community. At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, after a short service at the home, the funeral cortege proceeded to Shirleysburg where service were held in the Methodist church at 10:30. Interment in the Germany Valley cemetery. Further particulars next week. A young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Garver fell ill and her parents took her to Dr. Nason's Hospital at Roaring Springs, and they determined to operate for appendicitis. As they were placing her under the influence of ether, and before any attempt to operate had begun the child died. She was aged 8 years. Her funeral occurred Wednesday, burial at the Stone church, Germany Valley. We tender sympathy to the bereaved parents. Transcribers Notes: This is from a Mt. Union area newspaper. No date on these two death notices however in the 1910 census, Thelma M. Garver, daughter of Arthur and Bertha Garver, was shown as 7 years old. I am not related to this family. I found several newspaper obits in an old family bible. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
