HARPSTER Mrs. Clarissa Frances Harpster died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carper, Union Furnace, Wednesday evening at five o'clock after a six weeks' illness with a heart condition. Mrs. Harpster was a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Warfel) Fell, and was born at Allegheny City, Pa., on September 10, 1854. On February 10, 1875, at Manor Hill, she was united in marriage with Isaac J. Harpster, who died a number of years ago. She is survived by these children: Laura A., widow of Oliver Scott, Petersburg; E. L. Harpster, Franklinville; George Harpster, Huntingdon; Mae, wife of Charles Carper, Tyrone R.D. No. 4; Maude, wife of Willard Pardoe, Tyrone R.D., No. 5; Guy Harpster, Pine Grove Mills; also 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Brethren Church of Tyrone. Brief services will be held at the home of Charles Carper, Union Furnace, on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. The funeral cortege will then go to the Seven Stars church where at 2.30 o'clock funeral services will be conducted by Rev. John S. Colledge, pastor of the First United Brethren Church, assisted by Rev. Eugene McCahan, pastor of the Sinking Valley Presbyterian church, followed by burial in the Seven Stars cemetery.
