J. O. HEATON.

  J. O. Heaton, a well known merchant at Cassville, Huntingdon county, died 
at his home at that place Thursday afternoon following an operation for 
appendicitis.  He was taken suddenly ill during the early part of the week 
and his condition became such that an operation was imperative.  He stood the 
ordeal fairly well but afterwards sank rapidly until he passed away.  
Deceased was aged about 50 years, was a member of the Methodist Episcopal 
church and was known and esteemed throughout the Trough Creek valley.  He is 
survived by his wife and several children, all of Cassville and also by one 
brother residing at that place. Mr. Heaton was also well known in this city 
and his many friends will learn of his death with regret.  Interment will be 
made at Cassville.
