(McKenzie) Johnson, 79, a resident of The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon since May 1997 and formerly of 109 Mount Vernon Ave., Smithfield Township, Huntingdon, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods. Born Nov. 30, 1926, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late "Mack" and M. Blanche (Morningstar) McKenzie. She was united in marriage to Walter A. "Bill" Johnson, who preceded her in death March 14, 2004. Mrs. Johnson is survived by a grandson, Larry G. Rinker Jr. and wife, Missy (Walker), Alexandria; and two great-grandsons, Dustin and Austin Rinker, both of Alexandria. She is also survived by a sister, Geneva M. McIntyre, York; and a niece Judy (McIntyre) Barber and husband, Dean, York. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Kay (Johnson) Rinker, July 30, 2002 and three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Johnson was of the Protestant faith. She attended Huntingdon Public schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Johnson was caring and full of life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, with the Rev. James L. Blair officiating. Interment will be made in the Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Walker Township, Huntingdon, RR 1. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Johnson's memory to the Huntingdon County Humane Society, RR 3, Box 218A, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
