Kauffman, who was injured at Hefright's quarry, near Mapleton, on Wednesday morning, a full account of which appeared in last week's Journal, died the following morning about 9 o'clock. Mr. Kauffman was a sober, industrious man and a good citizen, and his death, in the prime of manhood, will be deeply regretted by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. He leaves a wife and two small children to mourn his untimely and shocking death. The sorrow-stricken family have the sympathies of the whole community in their terribly sad bereavement.
