DEATH OF A CHILD

  Ralph Oscar Kern, a son of Edward and Annie Kern, died at their home on the 
Orbison farm in Oneida township on Friday morning at 7:30, being the second 
death from influenza in the family within a week, while every member has been 
ill with the disease.  Ralph was a bright and interesting little boy aged eight 
years.  Surviving are the parents, two sisters, Anna and Clara and one brother, 
Benjamin.  Private funeral services were held at the home on Saturday morning 
at 10 o'clock, followed by interment in Riverview cemetery.
