David Long died at his home in Hill Valley Wednesday, February 21st, 
after an illness of several weeks and at the age of 81. Mr. Long was 
born July 4, 1831, in Upper Valley, Cromwell township. He resided all 
his life in Hill Valley. He was a member of the M. E. church, also a 
soldier. The funeral was held on Saturday, leaving the house at 10 
o'clock for Singers Gap church. Interment at Mount Union.
