Lynch, 98, formerly of Harrisburg, but for the last 13 years a resident of Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, died at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Woodland. Private graveside services were held at the Mount Union Cemetery, Mount Union, with Rev. Gordon Ross officiating. The Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, was in charge of the arrangements. Born May 2, 1903, in Mount Union, she was a daughter of the late Richard M. and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Stratford) Kiel. She was first married to G. Fred Lukens, who preceded her in death in 1924. She later married John D. Lynch, who died in 1971. Mrs. Lynch is survived by a daughter-in-law, Genevieve "Jean" Lukens of Dauphin, and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son, G. Fred Lukens Jr.; a sister, Charlotte Snyder; a brother, Fred Kiel; and two infant siblings, Elizabeth and Richard Kiel. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Lynch graduated from Mount Union High School. A homemaker most of her life, she had at one time worked at L. Grief Bros. Mfg. in Mount Union. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, Pa., November 7. 2001
