Huntingdon County PA Archives Obituaries.....Miller, John Calvin July 20, 1932 ************************************************ Copyright.  All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Susan McCannon smccanno@rochester.rr.com August 9, 2011, 4:27 pm Huntingdon Daily News July 20 1932 edited  John Calvin Miller a native of Hartslog Valley, Huntingdon, passed away at his home Viola Kansas  on June 2 1932.  He was born November 15 1849 hence was aged at the time of his death 82 years 6 months and 18 days.  He was united in marriage December 19 1871 to Miss Lydia A Hare at Huntingdon Pa.  In March 1877 they moved to Alexis Illinois where they resided until January 1885 when they moved to their farm northwest of Viola where they lived until 1902 when they moved to their present home in Viola....He leave to mourn his loss his wife, one son EB Miller and one daughter Mrs. Emmarene  Dobbin of Viola. A daughter Mrs. Roberta Harrington preceded him to the better land sixteen years ago as well as a nephew Fred Hare of Kansas City, Missouri whom they had raised from infancy.  13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Alice Sorrick of Williamsburg, PA.  Rev. J Madison Hare of Pocono Lake, PA a former Baptist minister at this place is a brother in law of the deceased.
