Lee Rupert, one of the best known of the rank and file of Huntingdon, having conducted a job printing establishment for many years, died at his home, 501 Seventh street, early Wednesday morning at 1:45 o'clock. Mr. Rubert had been afflicted with brights disease, and early last fall suffered a breakdown so that he was no longer able to be in his printshop. He was a son of George Rupert, who was killed in the Civil war and his mother, who married again, is the widow of Jesse Goodman, residing at 910 Mifflin street. He was born at Mill Creek on March 27, 1858, and at the time of his death was nearing the completion of his sixty-first year. Mr. Rupert was twice married. His first wife was a daughter of the late Alexander Campbell, of this place. By this union one son, Elmer N. Rupert, of 425 Washington street, survives. His first wife having died, Mr. Rupert was married the second time, to Laura Garver, whose aged mother has been making her home during her invalid years with the Rupert family. His wife survives, together with an only daughter, Miss Lillian, at home. Mr. Rupert was a consistent member of the Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be held at the residence on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. H. Cassiday and Rev. W. J. Swigart, with interment in Riverview cemetery.
