Watts, 78, of Calvin, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at J. C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon. Funeral services were held April 1 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, with Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Born Sept. 6, 1923, he was a son of the late Charles and Florence (Somieski) Watts. He was married to Hazel V. Miller who preceded him in death Feb. 2, 2001. Surviving are four children: Judith Watts Wanamaker of Kutztown, Stephen C. Watts of Easton, Beverly Jenson of Warrington and Lawrence E. Watts of Raleigh, N.C. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Herrmann of Naples, Fla., and Evelyn Davidson of Chalfont. Two brothers, Harvey and George, and one sister, Mary Barrett, are deceased. Mr. Watts had been an avid bowler. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years. He retired in 1983 from Standard Press Steel, Jenkintown, after 20 years service as a machinist.
