On February 9, 1900, at his home in Carterville, Mo., Mr. S. S. Wilson died at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 9 days. His funeral took place on the 11th inst., and was under the direction of the Grand Army post of that city. Hr was a soldier in the civil war, having been a corporal in company E., Thirteenth Pennsylvania cavalry. The cause of his death was consumption. He is survived by his wife and a number of children. He also leaves these sisters: Mrs. Chamberlain, of Warriorsmark; Mrs. Henderson, of Birmingham; Mrs. Stephens, of Clearfield county; Mrs. Harnish, of Cove Forge, Blair county. J. M. Wilson, of 2010 Seventh avenue, is a brother, and a brother and sister also reside in Iowa.
