Ake, died at his home in Hillsdale on March 1st, aged 74 years, of paralysis. He leaves his wife, Mrs Alice Donahue Ake, and these children: Mrs. Vernie Boucher, of Heilwood; Boyd H. and Charles H., at home. Also, the following brothers and sisters: James and Joseph Ake, of Hillsdale; John Ake, of Camden, N. J.; Mrs. Jane Mahaffey of Burnside; Mrs. George McKeage, of Burnside, and Mrs. Albert Clark, of Hastings. He was a consistent member of the M. E. church. Squire Ake was one of Montgomery township's leading citizens, his parents being among the pioneer families of that section. He was engaged in the mercantile business and for many years was a justice of the peace. He was a Veteran of the Civil war, having served three years in Company D, 78th P. V. The funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. and interment followed in the Irwin cemetery.
