Mr. Curtis was born on May 4, 1891, in Altoona, Pa. He was a World War I Veteran, enlisted February 26, 1918 at Ebensburg. Was a private of Co. B, 601 Engineers. Mr. Curtis served in France for 10 months. He was discharged on July 12, 1922, at Camp Lee, Virginia. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. George Steeves Curtis of Blairsville, one daughter, Mrs. Dale Houser of town; two sons, Howard W. and Oscar both at home. Also surviving is one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held from the late home at 258 West Campbell street, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. John McCulloch, pastor of the Baptist church of Blairsville. Burial will follow in the Blairsville Cemetery.
