We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ************** 24 April 1940 ************** Mrs. Vernon Cook died at  Indiana : Indiana- Mrs. Eleanor Catherine Cook, 49, wife of Vernon H. Cook of 1189 Washington Street, died at her home at 5:10 o'clock  last evening after an illness of several months.  Born March 15, 1891, in Center Township, she was a daughter of Samuel A. and Matilda (Wineman) St. Clair. She leaves her husband and father, the latter a resident of Homer City, and these children: Wendell, James, Lois, Dorothy and Betty, all at home.  She was a asister of Curtiss and Raymond St. Clair, both of Indiana; Mrs. Earl Kidd and Mrs. Raymond Kelly, both of Johnstown; Mrs. Carl Houck,  Clymer; Paul St. Clair, Homer City; Albert St. Clair, Youngstown, O., and Edward St. Clair, Canton, O. Two half-brothers, George St. Clair  of Gary, Ind., and Arthur St. Clair of Aspinwall, and a holf -sister, Mrs. Clara Marshall of Latrobe , also survive. Mrs. Cook had been a resident of Indiana the past 23 years.  She previously lived in Homer City.  For 10 years she was employed by the Troutman Company here.  She was a member of the First Regular Baptist Church, the Ladies Aid Society and the Ladies Bible Class. Funeral services will  be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence.  Interment in Oakland Cemetery will be under the direction  of the Robinson Funeral Home. [Family file]
