Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Dec 19, 1977
Odis R. Erb, 76, of Blairsville R. D. 4, died Sunday morning in Latrobe Area
Hospital. Son of the late John and Mary Mansfield Erb, he was born Aug 2, 1901,
in Blairsville. He attended the Strangford United Methodist Church. He was
preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret; four brothers, William, Roy,
Lorenza and Davis, and four sisters, Flora, Minnie, Elsie and Hattie. Surviving
are his widow, Nellie E. Libengood Erb; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Effie) Robb
of New Derry and Mrs. Elmer (Betty) McGinity of Blairsville R.D. 4; four
grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville.
Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday with
the Rev. William A. West and the Rev. Waiter C. Krause officiating. Interment
will follow in Blairsville Cemetery.
