Mrs. Elizabeth Keck, wife of Mr. Solomon Keck, died at her home in the First
ward, on Friday, December 2, 1898, aged 60 years, two months and seven days. She
had a fall on the previous Tuesday, and although the injury at the time was not
regarded as serious the injuries turned out to be of a grave nature. She was a
remarkably industrious woman and a most affectionate wife and mother. She is
survived by her husband and nine children and several grandchildren. All the
children, save the oldest, attended the funeral, which took place on Monday
afternoon, services being conducted by the Rev. Dr. Reynolds, of the M. E.
church, of which religious body she was a member.
