Margaret R. Devers Marron, 92, of Indian Haven, Indiana, Pa., formerly of
Blairsville R D 4, died Saturday, July 7, 1990. She was born October 24, 1897,
in Blairsville a daughter of Dennis W. and Annie J. Miller Devers. Mrs. Marron
lived her entire life in the Blairsville area and was a member of the SS Simon
and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, and the Farmer's Literary Society.
Surviving are five sons: John T., Jr. of Blairsville RD 4, Patrick E. of
Streamwood III., Joseph C. of Blairsville RD 3, Robert D. of Hilton, N.Y.,
Theodore G. of Frederick Md.; three daughters: Mrs. Gordon Rita Wagner of
Rockville Md., Mrs. Charles Isabelle Shirley of Lima N.Y., Mrs. H. Clifford
Rosemary Laughlin of Blairsville RD 3; 47 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded
in death by her husband Donald T. Marron in 1976; a daughter, Ruth Hill in 1975,
a grandson, two brothers, William and Edward Devers, and a sister, Mary Goe. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday at the Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, where a wake
service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday. A funeral mass will be offered at 10 a.m.
Tuesday in the SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville with Rev.
Father Michael W. Matusak the celebrant. Interment will follow in the SS Simon
and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville.
