  Hope Nicholson

 Hope Alden Nicholson, 96, of Indi-
ana, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997,
at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana.
 Born July 12, 1901, in Tanoma,
Rayne Township, she was the daugh-
ter of Stephen and Clara McGuire
Rowe.
 Mrs. Nicholson was a member of
the First Christian Church of Indi-
ana. She was a homemaker and had
been employed by the Ross and
DeGaetano Dry Cleaners for more
than 35 years.
 Surviving are three children, Rob-
ert David Nicholson and wife Betty,
of Punta Gorda, Fla.; Arlene Hope
Nicholson, Indiana; and M. Jean
Roadarmel, Indiana; five grandchil-
dren: Delores McQuilken, Punta
Gorda, Fla.; David Nicholson, Oak-
land Park, Fla.; Sandra Ruffner and
husband Floyd Jr., Indiana; Cynthia
Uher and husband Robert, Indiana,
and Fred Roadarmel, Indiana; four
great-grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband, David W. Nichol-
son; one sister, Gertie Stuchell, and
four brothers, John, Speer, Steele
and Ben.
 Friends will be received Thursday
from 1-3 p.m. at the Bence-Mihalcik
Funeral Home in Indiana where
services will be held at 3 p.m. The
Rev. Randall L. Elsea will officiate
and interment will be in the Ruffner
Cemetery in Rayne Township.
