Alexander Swend, aged 79 years, a prominent resident of Richmond, died at his
home, in that place, Sabbath afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the effects of a
stroke of paralysis, which he sustained a few days previous. He does not have
any family. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock by Rev.
Roberts, of Marion Center, and interment was made in the Pine Grove cemetery at
Richmond.
