   Mike Varholick

  Mike "Boone" Varholick, 80, of
 Coy, died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, in
 the Indiana Hospital.
  The son of Metro and Anna Litivin
 Varholick, he was born April 21,
 1917, in Tyler.
  He was a member of UMWA Local
 488 of Lucernemines and was a
 retired coal miner, having been
 employed by the R&P Coal Compa-
 ny. He had also worked for the Galls
 niachine Shop in Ernest.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
 Frances Johnstone Varholick; and
 these children: Geneva and hus-
 band, Thomas Shannon, Coy; Mi-
 chael Varholick and wife, Joann,
 Columbia Station, Ohio; Helen and
 husband, John Tedeski, Homer City;
 and Pauletta Kislak, Coy; nine
 grandchildren and seven great-
 grandchildren; two brothers: Frank
 arholick and wife, Mary Ann, Ho-
 mer City, and Joseph Varholick,
 Bedford, Ohio; and five sisters:
 Mary Barna, Tonawanda, N.Y.; Ann
 Bazale, Riddot, Ill.; Susan Regetz,
 Manville, N.J.; Helen and husband,
 William Yensco, Flint, Mich.; and
 Pauline and husband, James Hurt,
 Green Valley, Ariz.
  He was preceded in death by his
 parents; one grandson, Daniel Kis-
 iak; and two brothers, John and
 George.
  Friends will be received from 2-4
 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the C.
 Frederick Bowser Funeral Home,
 Homer City, where services will be
 held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Pastor
 Mark Vislosky will officiate and
 interment will be in Greenwood
 Cemetery, Indiana.


  A tree will be planted
 in living memory of
 Mike Varholick.
