G, 77th Infantry, was enrolled Sept. 10, 1861 at Chambersburg, Pa. and mustered in Oct. 15, 1861 as a Private at Pittsburgh, Pa. He was aged 18 at enrollment, with a fair complexion, stood 5' 9" tall, had blue eyes, dark hair and was a laborer by occupation, residing in Carbondale, Pa. He deserted in June, 1863.
