  Hilda E. Bechtold BETHEL TOWNSHIP Hilda E. Bechtold, 81, of Bethel died 
  December 5th at 1:45 p.m. in the Tremont Nursing Home. She is the wife of Mark 
  J. Bechtold. Born in Bethel Township daughter of the late Herbert and Emma 
  (Klahr) Bashore. She was a 1944 graduate of Bethel High School. She was a 
  member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren where she was a former choir 
  member, Bible School director for a number of years, a Sunday school teacher, 
  and a member of the Women's Fellowship. She was employed as a custodian in the 
  Tulpehocken School District and also a school van driver. Surviving in addition 
  to her husband are two sons, Richard L. Bechtold, husband of Susan L., 
  Columbia, Md., Dale M. Bechtold, husband of Darlene K., Bethel; daughter Ruth 
  E., wife of Berne Dutcher, Wellsboro; three brothers, Edward Bashore, Bethel, 
  George Bashore, Bernville, Martin Bashore, Rehrersburg; two sisters, Martha 
  Davidson, Sebring, Fla., Anna Mae Fisher, Rehrersburg; four grandchildren, 
  Jennifer Maurer, Heather Claman, Julie Cariss, and Bradley Bechtold; two 
  greatgrandchildren, Autumn and Breanna Claman. She is predeceased by brother 
  Mark Bashore. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Little Swatara Church 
  of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, PO Box M., Bethel, PA 19507. Interment at 
  Merkey's Cemetery, Bethel Township. Friends may call Friday 10 to 11 a.m. in 
  the church. Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is handling arrangements. Memorial 
  donations may be made to the church at the above address.
