Myers. 68, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, in an ATV accident. Ron was born March 26, 1941, at Hershey to the late Max S. and Pearl C. (Clemente) Myers. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Max B. Myers, Sr. and Mary Ann Myers. He was a retired design engineer at AMP Inc., Harrisburg. He had worked for W&L Distributors, Harrisburg, and was presently working for the Tri-County Association for the Blind, Harrisburg. He was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and had an associate's degree from Penn State University, York Campus. Mr. Myers was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle; Mannerchor Club, Lebanon; Knights of Columbus, Carlisle; Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299, Carlisle; and a lifetime member of the Hershey Italian Lodge, Hershey, that was started by his grandfather. He was an avid bowler, member of the Tuesday night mixed league and the Thursday AMP league, both at ABC East, Harrisburg. He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and camping. Surviving are his wife, Rita A. (Koch) Myers; his wife's family, Mary Ellen Hockley and husband, Thomas, Frank J. Koch and wife, Carole, James R. Koch, Sr., Kathleen M. Pisco and husband, David, Ceal Schlegel and husband, John, Robert J. Koch, Carole L. Shay and husband, Michael; 17 nieces and nephews and 21 great-nieces and greatnephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 2, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with the Rev. Andre J. Meluskey officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. prior to the Mass in the church. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043; or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015. Arrangements are being handled by the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047.
