He was the husband of Ruth G. (Graybill) Popoff Osterburg. Born in Spotswood, NJ, he was a son of the late Gustov C. and Johanna (Noeth) Osterburg. Karl was a graduate of Spottsville, NJ, High School and the Wharton School of Business. He was a sales engineer with West Company, Phoenixville, PA, for 42 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of The Orthodox Church of St. Herman of Alaska, Shillington. He was a member of Reber-Moore American Legion Post, Shillington, where he as a former officer, a member of Shillington Lions Club, where he received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, and the Elks in Watchung Hills, Warren, NJ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sisters, Hildegard Durieux, Arlington, VA, Elizabeth Valyo, Riverhead NY; son-inlaw, John A. Seman, Cumru Twp.; grandchildren John K. Seman, fianc" of Genesee Adkins, of Seattle, WA, and Mary Anne, wife of Kyle Kweder, of Bowie, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Mary (Maleyeff) Osterburg in 1977, son Karl J. Osterburg Jr. in 1995, daughter Linda A. Seman in 2008, brother G. Christian Osterburg and sister Helen Collier. Funeral from The Orthodox Church of St. Herman of Alaska, 133 W. Broad St., Shillington, Pa. 19607, on Thursday 10:30 AM. Father John Onofrey officiating. Viewing from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, Wednesday 7-9 PM, with Panikhida at 8:00 PM. Interment in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, NJ, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Karl's church at the above address or the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley, One Valley Square, 512 Township Line Road, Suite 133, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
