Frederick E. Ream, 67, of Fredericksburg died, surrounded by his family, 
Monday, June 29, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. He was born 
October 21, 1941, to the late Lloyd Sr. and Ellen Long Ream in Lebanon. He was 
a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He worked for Lebanon 
Steel Foundry and Aluminum Alloy in Sinking Spring. He was involved with United 
Steelworkers of America Local 1975. He was union president for two fouryear 
terms in the late '70s and '80s. He retired and worked part-time with Debbie Jo 
Snack Co. He was a life member of Mt. Aetna Rescue Fire Co., the Orioles Club 
and Perseverance Fire Co., Jonestown. He loved car shows, racing, football, 
flea markets and antiques. Surviving is wife Judith A. (Clay) Ream of 
Fredericksburg; daughter Tammy, spouse of Damian Allwein of Lebanon; son Steve, 
spouse of Laurie Ream of Lebanon; sister Shirley Smith of Lebanon; brother 
Larry Ream of Lebanon; grandchildren Tara Frattaroli, Kristopher Frattaroli, 
Devon Ream, Caitlyn Ream; greatgrandchild Roksana Griffin; and a number of 
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Lloyd Ream Jr. Services 
will be held Friday, July 3, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home 
Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, with viewing one hour prior to the service. 
Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park. Memorials can be sent to American 
Heart Association, PO Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042.
