Mrs. Reed was born on Wednesday March 25, 1931 in West Exeter, Ostsego County, NY. She was the daughter of the late Albert D. Smith and Rena Mae Wright Smith. Surviving are her children, David Grumbine and wife Betty of Jonestown, Pa; Karin Cordle and husband Charles of Trion, Ga; Loren Grumbine and wife Karen of Annapolis, Md and Ronnie Grumbine and wife Dorinda of Dailey, WV. Grandchildren; Lorrie Culver, David Grumbine Jr., Tanya Cherny, David Simon Grumbine, Kayla Grumbine, William Greer, Charles Greer, Megan Grumbine and Roger Grumbine; several great grandchildren as well as great great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Earl Smith of NY and sister, Norma Wiltse of NY. She was preceeded in death by her parents, three husbands; Phillip Grumbine, Thomas Densmore and Paul Reed; one grandson Christopher Don Grumbine, and two brothers; Edward Smith and George Smith. Mrs. Reed was a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, watching birds and flowers bloom. She lived twenty-one years of her life in Grafton, WV, before moving to Daily to live with her son Ronnie Grumbine and wife Dorinda in January of this year due to her illness. In honoring the request of Mrs. Reed her remains will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 100 Meadow Lane, Valley Bend WV. On Saturday, June 20 at 12 noon there will be a memorial service held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 455 Church Road, Lebanon, Pa., with the Bishop David Laudermilch officiating. Interment will follow at 4 pm in Salem Union Church Cemetery in Lickdale, PA. Arrangements for Helen Mae Reed have been entrusted to The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
