  Margie S. Shindel, 88, of 303 Chestnut St., Lebanon, died Thursday, March 5, 
  2009, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Richland, 
  daughter of the late Mahlon and Stella Patches Hemperly. She was a member of 
  St. John's Evangelical Congregational Church, Steelstown. She had been a 
  custodian at the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. Surviving are children: 
  Frances Bender of Eden, Ohio; Richard G., spouse of Marilyn Shindel of Lebanon; 
  George Wheeler of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Ruthann L. Spencer of Hackensack, Minn.; 
  4 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband 
  of George W. Shindel (9/22/1999). Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 
  2009, from 10-11 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., 
  Lebanon, followed by graveside services in Grand View Memorial Park. Memorials 
  can be sent to Cornwall-Lebanon Falcon Foundation, 101 E. Evergreen Rd., 
  Lebanon, PA 17042.
