Beane, 81, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by loving family on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was born Sunday, January 13, 1929, in Harrisburg, to the late Delbert and Thelma (Lingle) Beane. He was predeceased by a wife, Mabel E. (Neidig) Beane on September 8, 2006. He is survived by a wife, Ruth E. (Smith) Beane. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, served on the U.S.S. Coral Sea during the Korean War, was retired from Yellow Freight as a truck driver, drove school bus in Hershey for ten years, and was active in prison ministry in Camp Hill and drug and alcohol counseling. He is survived by a daughter, Debra Krell and companion, Don Koons of Grantville; two sons, Randolph Frey and companion, Renee Ensley of Hershey, and Rodney Frey and wife, Donna of Coaldale; eight grandchildren, Alicia, Robert, Johnathan, Josiah, Lydia, Noah, Gabriella, and Hadassah; four great-grandchildren, Erick, Anthony, Trinity, and Michael. He was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Lingle; a son, Douglas Beane; and a brother, Ronald Beane. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, 330 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036, with Pastor Paul Haken officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Grantville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Benevolent Fund at his church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra.
