Boger, Jr., 82, passed away at Spang Crest Manor on May 3, 2010. Born August 29, 1927, in Lebanon, the son of William J. and Anna Johns Boger. He was the husband of Dorothy E. McKinney Boger, who died November 17, 1989. William served in the U.S. Army and the reserves for over 15 years, in the 79th Div. He was a retired supervisor of the tool crib and maintenance supply at the Lebanon Steel Foundry. He then worked at Penn Dot in the License Bureau Division Mr. Boger was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Annville. A Past Grand Knight, and Past President of the Guild of Lebanon Knights of Columbus #2870, a member of the Mt. Zion, Friendship Fire Co.'s, VFW Post #23, Navy Club. He is survived by son, Richard husband of Barbara Boger, Cleona; daughter, Candace wife of Ralph Noon, Lebanon; brother, Richard W. Boger, Halifax; and a companion, Dorothy Meyer. There are six grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son William J. Boger III, who passed away on March 22, 2010. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Taylor-Ruffner Funeral Home, Inc. 712 Chestnut St., Lebanon. Friends may call starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
