Fake "Vic", 85, died peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2010, after a short illness. He was born in Palmyra, on September 20, 1924, the son of Frank and Anna Bicksler Fake. Vic worked for the Hershey Chocolate Co. and the postal service, retiring as a Postal Inspector. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force, serving during WWII and the Korean War. He loved flowers and gadgets and enjoyed playing chess or cards with his family, always playing to win but teach. He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of 26 wonderful years, Peggy; three sons of Jax, Fla., Rodney (Heneretta), Brian (Shelly), and David; two daughters, Nancy (Doug) Pratt of Pennsylvania and Pattie (Chuck) Marsh of Florida; two stepsons, Robert (Lisa) Bach of Virginia and Randy (Sheri) Marchman of Florida; one stepdaughter, Vicki (Ron) Collins of Tennessee; one brother, Roger (Maudie) Fake of Palmyra; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Edna Baer and Winnifred Stoner; and brother, Ralph. A beautiful memorial service was held at Lake Shore Presbyterian Church, 2270 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210 on April 14, 2010. Contributions may be made in his honor to the church, where he was a longtime member.
