Funck, 90, of the Lebanon Valley Home and formerly of Palmyra, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born May 28, 1920, in Palmyra, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Seltzer) Hafer. She retired as a nurse's aide from the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra, and previously worked for the former United Christian Church Home, Annville. A member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, she was a former member of the National and Hershey Region Antique Automobile Club of America. She was the widow of Reginald V. Funck, who died December 8, 2008, and was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Funck. Surviving are her children, Robert V., husband of Betty Funck, and Linda Dumbauld, all of Palmyra; sisters, Dorothy Boose and Mary Fackler, both of Palmyra; brother, Charles Hafer of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Lori, wife of John Backenstoes, Cindy, wife of Todd Thatcher, and Charles A., husband of Cindy Dumbauld; five greatgrandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at her church, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra, preceded by a viewing from 1 p.m. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Memorial contributions may be made to Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra, PA 17078; or to Alley Center for the Blind, 2550 Hanford Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046.
