Gordon, Sr. and Edith Reeder, Charles Fackler Gordon, Jr. of 1265 Colebrook Road, expired on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Charlie was born on February 4, 1918, at the home of his grandparents, Tyson G.W. and Annie Reeder, New Bloomfield, Perry Co. He was 92 years of motivation. Charlie served in the U.S. Navy on U.S.S. Paracutin Ammunition Ship for two years, Electrician Third Class. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1980 after 42 years of service. He rode a Whizzer to work to save gas. He was a member of St. Stephen's U.C.C. Brotherhood. Charlie liked the challenge of all home repairs. He played football for Lebanon High School and graduated with the class of 1935. Once or twice a year, Sotsin's three ton truck was cleaned out. Charlie and five of his buddies would take a trip to Port Deposit, Md., and stay all night camping and fishing. Charlie and his buddies would take fishing trips to Deal Island, Md., where a farmer had a party boat. He met his wife of 60 years, Cornelia Marvel in Rehoboth Beach, Del,. while on vacation. Many family vacations were spent in Delaware on the farm of John and Lillie Marvel, Georgetown/Stockley, and at Delaware beaches. Charlie spent many years camping, boating, and fishing in Janes Island State Park, Crisfield, Md. He will be sadly missed by his family. Surviving are daughters, Ann F. Gordon of Lebanon, and Carol S., spouse of Joseph Bulger of Lewisberry; son, Charles A., spouse of Tina Gordon of Myerstown; and grandchildren, Matthew and Kelly Bulger, and Tiara Gordon. Viewing will be on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery, Lebanon, following the service. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
