Faiola, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Colonial Park Care Center. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Dominic and Stella (Lanni) Faiola and was the widower of Fern E. (Wohletz) Faiola. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, was Past-President of the church's Golden Gems and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from the General Services Administration of the Federal Government. Surviving are six sons, Martin and his wife, Mary of Palmyra, Alan and his wife, Barbara of California, Richard and his wife, Susan of Harrisburg, Ron, Michael and his wife, Darlene and John and his wife, Lynn, all of Maryland; a brother, Herman and his wife, Katie and a sister, Florence Moyer and her husband, Jerry both of Lebanon; 16 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, PA 17112, with Rev. Edward J. Quinlan as celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, and at the church on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until time of services.Memorial contributions may be made to his church or to Grane Hospice Care, 4 Lemoyne Dr., Suite 201, Lemoyne, PA 17043. Due to construction on Linglestown Rd., the funeral home parking lot can be accessed from westbound Linglestown Rd. only or via Raspberry Lane off N.
