  Elam Z. Fry 
  
  WOMELSDORF Elam Z. "Pop" Fry, 87, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at his 
  residence. He was the husband of Mildred S. "Memmy" (Stamm) Fry, to whom he 
  was married 66 years on February 10, 2011. Born in Clay, on August 31, 1924, 
  he was the son of the late Harry and Sylvia (Zartman) Fry. A truck driver for 
  many years, he was considered a "Jack of all trades." A member of St. John's 
  Church, Mt. Aetna, he was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, going to 
  casinos, and playing cards with family. He was a lifetime member of the Marion 
  Rod and Gun Club, Stouchsburg, and was a member of the Newmanstown Athletic 
  Club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and 
  in addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Joanne, wife of George 
  Wilson of Womelsdorf, and Roseanne Kreitz of Womelsdorf; sons, Carl, husband 
  of Arlene Fry of Bethel, and Dennis, husband of Dianna Fry of Womelsdorf; 13 
  grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty, wife of Paul Levan of 
  Hamburg; brothers, Levi, husband of Laura Fry of New Ringgold, and Phares, 
  husband of Mabel Fry of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded 
  in death by sons, Richard and Robert Fry; four brothers; and three sisters. 
  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. from 
  Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Wednesday from 
  6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment at Pleasant View Cemetery, 
  Sinking Spring.
