M. shabodeho@aol.com June 5, 2011, 10:42 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 4, 2011 Lawrence K. Henry ANNVILLE Lawrence (Larry) K. Henry, 62, died on Monday, May 23, 2011 at home. Born on May 6, 1949 in Harrisburg, Larry was the second son of Jean (Phillips) and George M. Henry, Jr. Larry is survived by his brother, George (Jim) M. Henry III of DeKalb, Ill.; his niece, Jennifer Henry of Chicago, Ill.; and cousins, Douglass Henry, Jr. of Newmanstown, Constance Henry of Hershey, Scott Henry of Theodosia, Mo., and Sally Doane of Lancaster. After high school in Hershey, Larry served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1970's and then returned to the Hershey area where he drove truck for his uncle's firm, Henry Molded Products, for a number of years. Following this, he worked at the Hershey plant in different capacities, including roasting peanuts and almonds for the various Hershey products, until his retirement in 2009. Larry served his community continously and regularly for nearly 40 years as a volunteer fireman with the Hershey Fire Company, and for a shorter period, as a volunteer ambulance driver. A memorial service will be held at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 E. Derry Road, Hershey, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011.
