  Alverta A. Meyerhoffer 
  
  JONESTOWN Alverta A. "Bertie" Meyerhoffer, 59, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at 
  her home. Born May 27, 1952, in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Ray 
  and Anna (Gerhardt) Himmelberger. She had worked at Farmers Pride, 
  Fredericksburg, and was preceded in death by a sister, Regina Hipple. 
  Surviving are her husband, John L. Meyerhoffer; daughter, Crystal, wife of 
  Jeffrey Cermak of Washington, Pa.; brothers, Robert, Charles, James, Donald, 
  and Benjamin Himmelberger; sisters, Lorraine Weitzel, Gloria Strunk, and Kathy 
  Bowman; granddaughter, Abby; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service 
  will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 
  Jonestown Road, Grantville, preceded by a viewing from 9 a.m. Interment in Ono 
  Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 
  American Cancer Society.
