  Erma M. Nissley 
  
  PALMYRA Erma M. Nissley, 83, formerly of Manheim, went home to be with her Lord 
  on Wednesday morning, April 27, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born 
  June 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Minnie Flory Zellers. 
  She was the wife of Harold M. Nissley for 63 years. A homemaker, she was a 
  member of Chiques Church of the Brethren in Manheim. Erma is free of her mental 
  and physical distress and is in the arms of her Lord. Forty-four years ago, she 
  sustained severe brain damage from an automobile accident. For the past 20 
  years, she was a resident at Cedar Haven in Lebanon. She loved cooking, baking, 
  canning and freezing vegetables and fruits. She was a wonderful wife to Harold, 
  mother of three daughters, Linda Hollopeter, wife of John, of Manheim, Lois 
  Vannoy, wife of Kent, of Perkesie, and Eileen Baxter of Harrisburg; grandmother 
  of seven grandchildren; great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren; and 
  mother to several foster children. She is also survived by a sister, Esther 
  Diffenderfer, wife of Donald, of Manheim. In addition to her parents, she was 
  preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Zellers, Earl Zellers, and Nelson 
  Zellers; and her step-mother, Mildred Miller Zellers. A funeral service will be 
  held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 
  4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, with Ministers Ron Strickler and Nate Myer 
  officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Manheim following 
  a luncheon at the church. The family will receive guests at the church on 
  Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the 
  service.  Because of Erma's love for children, contributions may be made in her 
  memory to Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services, 131 South 8th St., Lebanon, PA 
  17042.
