O'Neal, 95, of Kindred Place, Annville, and a former longtime resident of Hershey passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty nine and a half years, Pauline E. (Geesaman) O'Neal. He was born December 4, 1915, in Hershey, the son of the late Harry and Pearl (Erb) O'Neal. Karl served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as a cost accountant from Hershey Foods and was a member of the Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ, Hershey, and Mohler Senior Center. His family will remember him as an avid walker and a "no frills" hard working man completely devoted to his family, God and country. His love for Pauline's cooking, reading the bible and a good card game are just some of the ways he will be remembered. We hold dear his creative recycling and his distinctive sayings. Surviving are his son, Gary O'Neal and wife Valerie of Lewisville, Texas; daughter, Patricia Price of Walled Lake, Mich. Loving Gramps to three: Jim and Theresa Price of Plymouth, Mich; Jeff and Michelle Price of Leesburg, Va.; and Loving Pappy to Jeff O'Neal of Lewisville, Texas. Loving Gramps to three great-granddaughters, Sydne, Gabrielle, and Claire Price; His sister, Alma McKnight of the Lebanon Valley Home. Karl was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Snyder. Loving thanks to God's special angels on the F wing at the Lebanon Valley Home who loving cared for our father. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 & Lucy Ave., Hershey. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
