Breidigam, 84, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. He was the husband of Emma E. Bergman Breidigam to whom he was married for 61 years on June 19th. He was born on April 5, 1928, in Rockland Township, Berks County, a son of the late Solon Y. and Annie R. Cronrath Breidigam. Lee was a retired Quality Control Manager for Reading Alloys of Robesonia and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Millcreek Lutheran Church in Newmanstown where he served on church council and was the first lay leader of the congregation. He was a graduate of Kutztown High School, Pennsylvania State University, and was an avid Phillies fan and season ticket holder of the Hershey Bears. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Brenda wife of Donald Long of Myerstown; son, Bryan husband of Linda Weaver Breidigam of Schaefferstown; grandchildren, Lori wife of Timothy Goss of Hummelstown; Christopher husband of Victoria Layser of Myerstown; Bethannie Breidigam of Greenville, N.C.; great- grandchildren, Alexis Shollenberger, Emilie Goss, Steven Goss, Julia Goss and SolenLayser; three step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; sisters, Lena Breidigam of Topton; Erma widow of Paul Heffner of Fleetwood; Alma widow of Howard Hilbert of Boyertown. He was preceded in death by a great- granddaughter, Abigail Shollenberger and brother, Earl Breidigam. Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Millcreek Lutheran Church, N. Sheridan Road, P.O. Box 399, Newmanstown, PA 17073, with a visitation beginning on Saturday at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to his church. Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. of Schaefferstown is handling his arrangements.
